A Message from the Foundation Chair
As chairman of the non-profit Huizenga Park Foundation, it gives me great pride to lead a project that honors my uncle, the late H. Wayne Huizenga, in renovating this special park that bears his name.
It’s not often we get the chance to leave our mark on an iconic Fort Lauderdale asset to be enjoyed for generations to come. This opportunity is now as we reimagine and improve Huizenga Park in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The newly designed and constructed Huizenga Park, set to reopen in 2025, will be our signature downtown open space in the center of the South Florida region for all to experience and enjoy. With your participation, we can bring this exciting project to fruition and kick off construction at the beginning of 2024. I look forward to your partnership in this transformative public space project.
